About Us

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Chicago, where faith, family, and community come together.

For generations, we have been a Christ-centered, multi-generational church committed to serving God and serving the city. Our congregation reflects the rich diversity of the people and neighborhoods we serve, creating a vibrant ministry woven together by many backgrounds, experiences, and stories of faith.

When you visit, you will find a church family that includes children, teens, young adults, college students, adults, and seniors worshiping and growing together. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, or looking for a place to belong, you are welcome here.

Our commitment extends beyond Sunday worship. We believe the Gospel is lived out through service and compassion. At First Baptist Church of Chicago, we are passionate about building strong disciples, strengthening families, and transforming communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
