Annette Thornburg, Pastor
Rev. Annette Thornburg is 2011 graduate of the University of Chicago Divinity School. After serving as the student intern in 2009/2010 school year, she decided to seek licensure and ordination through First Baptist Church of Chicago. She received a B.A in English and Religion at Denison University and worked with AmeriCorps in West Virginia before returning to school for her Masters of Divinity Degree in 2008. In addition to her work at the church, Rev. Thornburg has served as the president of the Divinity Student Association and served as the Area Assistant for the ministry program. At First Baptist, she enjoyed cooking breakfast, teaching Sunday school, and serving the congregation.
Rev. Thornburg has completed a pastoral internship at the Wilshire Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas. She is working as a Chaplain at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas.
In November of 2013, she married David Owen at Wilshire Baptist Church.
Rev. Thornburg is now serving as the Pastor of the Community Baptist Church of Warrenville, IL.
